Nothing says PARTY! like having to leave at 11:45p so you can be in bed by 12a because you have to get up at 5:15a to be at work at 6a. Booo.

I tried Absinthe. Sadly, it wasn’t my thing. The whole presentation is pretty, the taste just didn’t do it for me. Damn you licorice/anise things, I want to like you but just can’t!!

If you’re going to wear bright lipstick, brush your teeth. Nothing says hot like staring at your mouth and wonder if the last thing you ate was a whole loaf of bread.

I’m going to a going away party tonight for my friend Jen. The crazy thing is I worked with her in the past at a spa 5 years ago, and she left me then, too. I asked her is she was coming back again, just to leave me again. She laughed and said hopefully not. I love ya Jen, good luck in Lake Tahoe!

I’m wearing bright red lip gloss, I brushed my teeth.

Question of the day, it came early…

This morning on Adam Corolla’s show:

Which is better, masturbation or a nap?

And from You Tube:

So if you can’t trust a big butt and smile, then can you trust a small butt and a frown?

Man, those are things to ponder.

Sometimes I am so blown away by people’s dedication to God. Crazy!

Happy Mari Gras!

Tomorrow is Ash Wednesday. I think I want to give up something for lent, not because I’m catholic but because I think I might need a good challenge. (You know, because my goal of losing 50lbs isn’t enough.)

resume snafu..

leave a comment »

So, if you’re a pretty good looking chick putting your picture on your resume might seem like a great idea… but it only works if the person hiring you is:

  • male
  • a lesbian
  • single of the above
  • not so bright
  • unprofessional

But if you are my boss you would say it is pretty unprofessional. Or that “just because you’re good looking doesn’t guarantee you an interview.” I personally found it tacky.

Amen, the end.

Do not want.

leave a comment »

While at work, the whole “DO NOT WANT!” thing doesn’t work.

Yes, I’m way far behind today. I’m glad you’d like me to show this new person some of my skills but um, not today.  Oh wait, what? You’ll come back later? Um, that doesn’t work so much either. He can help me? Not so much if I kinda have to stop and tell/show what I’m doing. No offense new dude! I’m just a little overwhelmed. Oh wait, can I get that hour back now that we’re done? No?!

(heaviest sighs of all sighs.)

I’m all for wanting people to be good and successful when they start a new job, but I’m not really good at training people on a normal day.

Today was just not my day. When I left, I’m surprised I didn’t burst into tears. I even remember to take my B stress and all of my other supplments, I’m not sure how awesome I would have been without them.

A bad day ending of a long ass week and pms = no fun.

Weight loss, rethought.

leave a comment »

So.

I’ve been doing Weight Watchers since May. I did okay at first. I lost my 10%. Then I put back on some weight. I’ve been losing and gaining the same 5 or so pounds for a while.

Since I’ve joined, I’ve pretty much done everything online. I’ve been to 2 meetings. I’m not a “group” person.

I’m giving in. I’m not losing weight like I’d like to. I’m going to start going to meetings.  Maybe going to meetings will help, or maybe it will make me want to pull my hair out. Either way, I’m hoping that I’ll have better results.

Here’s to restarting?

I don’t want children.

When I was younger I wanted kids. My ex and I used to talk about having kids. I wanted to be a school teacher at one point in my life.

But then I realized, I don’t find joy and happiness in children.

I don’t ooh and aah or coo and goo at babies.

Its great that you are holding your child, but please continue to hold her because I have no desire to.

I finally feel like most of my depression is so far behind me. Why would I want to have a child and increase my chance of bringing more depression into my life? So many people I know have told me about their postpartum depression, I know I’d be a perfect candidate for it. My mom finally gets this, she sees it as a very valid reason. I’m also choosing to end my depression with me, I don’t want to have a child deal with it the way I have.

I hate getting up early for work. I know I would hate getting up early to tend to a child.

I don’t like things that are sticky.

I have debt to pay off still. There is no extra money for a child because I am comfortable the way I am.

So many people don’t understand all of this. It is perfectly okay, I promise you. If you don’t understand my not wanting, I don’t understand the yearning for one or even more than one.
