From this day forward, I’m buying beer.

And its for work.

Really!

The guy who was the beer buyer at work, he’s gone. His last day was yesterday. He is currently on a plane to Japan and when he returns, he is there moving back to California to go to school.

I’m pretty much done being the back up for someone else… I’m going to be the beer and wine back up and I’m pretty excited about it.

I have so much to learn! But, I can’t wait!

I guess technically this starts tomorrow, I have the day off.

Last week, its finally over..

leave a comment »

Ooof.

Last week was a gross one…

I had a really bad ear ache for 3 days last week. I finally went to the doctor and asked for some antibiotics. I had a ear infection in my right ear. How do people in their 30s get ear infections? Antibiotics plus probiotics = maintaining gut health, I hope. First antibiotics in 2 and 1/2 years.

Seattle had a day or 2 this week that wee up in the 90s. Eep. I don’t have the right kind of clothes or mindset for that. We retreated to the basement with food from a taco truck or easy to eat foods.  Oh, and all of our fans and extension cords…

I go on vacation in 2 plus weeks. I can’t wait to get away. Wow, this means that summer is almost over. Time sure does run away when you aren’t looking or paying attention.

Last week we gained a pound or two.. I’m only really guessing at this point. Feeling like crap and taking meds really seems to have a strange effect on my body. I plan on exercising this week, last week I didn’t, and track all of my points.

Happy Sunday to you!

True story..

I hate religion.

Religious people have either done or said to many bad things to or against me. Religi0n offends me in so many ways.

Um, happily or sadly… I don’t need a security blanket. I walk with a purpose at all times… to kick ass and take names.

For those that say things to me like “God bless…..” I know you mean no harm at all but, you make me cringe and like y0u even less. I’m secretly saying to myself something like,  “fuck you, if only you knew?, die in a fire, or whatever….”

If God was supposedly to be on  my side or what have you, he failed. Twice. As a small child, and as an adult.

Man.

I’m not religious, I try to keep it to myself. I find it better to keep most views to myself. If you choose to be religious, why can’t this kept this to yourself as well? I don’t go on about h0w much I adore sleep… man, sleep is serious business in my book, you have no idea…

Don’t get me wrong, I know a lot of folks that love Jesus. I love them dearly… and we have no conversations about religion or god what so ever.

I love you whether you like it or not that I don’t have faith in your friend, Jesus.

Sunday, I heart you.

leave a comment »

Mmmm, Sunday.

It seems to be that Sunday will be my new day off, I’m stoked! I’ll have another day off in there as well, but Sunday will be my consistent day.

This morning I got up way to early. Took a wonderful shower. Dried my hair completely. Got caught up on my interneting. Had a nice cup of tea.

Some thing about having Sunday off feels better than having anything else off.

I start ordering $6,000 worth of beer every week, starting next Monday. I’m pretty excited.

Smallest gain possible… how is that possible?

leave a comment »

So.

Last week we ate everything in sight. Bread. A lot of alcohol one night. At least 5 or so pieces of cheesecake over the weekend, (I had to try all 4 of the flavors, no?). We didn’t exercise a drop. We went to 2 gatherings in 2 days and came home with a sore back from so much sitting. Yep, we’re on Weight Watchers but who knew?! We count points, no way?! Last week, after using up all of my extra weekly points in something like 2 days if not less… I decided I’d take the week off and own up to what the scale said.

I was expecting a big weight gain, something like 2 or 3 pounds. I made it under 200 at the end of June and was pretty stoked about it… but I also kept in mind that I had been sick a week or so prior and not had any sort of appetite for 3 days as well.

So yesterday I got all ready to go to my weigh in… and I stepped on the scale. It said 199.4.

Um, yeah, I ate like a cow and I only gained .2 pounds? I ate all that cheese cake and only gained a tenth of a pound? How can that be?! And that was at 4:30p, after I had eatten a breakfast and some sort of lunch stuff. But, my leader said I might not have a significant gain this week but, it could show up next week instead.

We’re going to try our hardest to make sure that that doesn’t happen.

yes, I did mean swimming…

leave a comment »

A few years back, like 7 or so or in 2002, I dated this weird guy I had no business dating. He was a fairly nice guy, although definitely not the in the top 8 smartest.

His glory days were from when he played freshman football in highschool, drove a 96 300zx, had $25k in savings 3 years prior, and had worked for Homegrocer.com. When I came across him, he was working at the co-op, drove a 85 300zx with a huge dent in front quarter panel, had no money on savings and the by the sounds of it had spent a lot of it on lap dances, had about $8,000 in credit card debt and had dreams about being a pro bowler…

So anyway…

We worked together. We both got off of work around 10pm. So I told him that I really wanted to go swimming after work. I told him not to forget to bring his suit and a towel.

We went to Kennydale Beach on Lake Washington. I love this beach for whatever reason and also they don’t really lock the gates at night, the park is right along a main road without it’s own parking lot.

So we get there and go out to the end of the dock. He seems really excited about spending time with me and such. I start to take of my shirt and he stops. He noticed I had my swimsuit on, apparently it wasn’t what he was expecting at all. He had only brought a towel.

“Oh, swimming.”

Of course I say “yes, swimming!” I prpbably go on about how swimming is really rad and its is one of the first things I remember learning to do other than basic life skills. I heart swimming!! And then it clicks..

“Oh?!? You thought I meant skinning dipping didn’t you?”

His response was that “No! Um, well yeah, kind of.” Of course he was pretty embarrassed about this, but did I care? Nope. I swam in the lake for an hour while he sat on the dock doing or thinking who knows what.

Yes, I did mean swimming.
