Balancing act.

Balancing your checkbook while spending money is way easier than balancing your checkbook 2 months later. I think my eyes are almost crossed and my back and neck hurt from being hunched over my laptop for 3 hours last night.

Look what I caught!

I caught it!

I went fishing yesterday with Kevin, his mom, her boyfriend and Abigail. I caught 3 fish, this is the only one to make it into the boat. I cleaned this bad boy myself! Yes, I’m a city type girl but I do like to get dirty and learn new things… all while wearing Coach sunglasses and Tiffany rings.

Soon, I will eat him.

Walk it off, fatty!

leave a comment »

I’m pretty happy with the fact that I’ve walked 11 miles already this week! And it is only Thursday!

Winter was just so gross this year, being outside this week has really been a great self esteem booster for me.

I feel great! I’m challenging myself! I’m trying to get where I’d like to be!

And every year I learn more things about myself and how my body works. At this moment in my life I am coming to terms with the fact that sleep is really important to me and caffeine really messing with it.

Since I’m feeling fresh, I’ll do some fat stats..

258 highest weight ever

230 start weight at WW

205 current

160 ultimate goal

I’m 5 pounds from being the lightest I’ve been since 2002. Dude!

Question of the day…

If your underwear could talk, what would it say?

Most of mine would say “we are getting old!”

Drunk creepy.

leave a comment »

Sometimes, alcohol, friends and family can go together nicely.

Then the one person in the room who kind of weirds you out a bit has to much to drink… and then they make the rest of the night kind of awkward others.

I really don’t like having to avoid people at parties. I really hate feeling like I have to avoid people at parties especially when they are at my house.

Fuck you and your creepyness. Stay out of conversations that you weren’t in and don’t yell at the people having the conversation and tell them they are wrong. And don’t you dare raise your voice at me again in my fucking house!

sometimes yes, sometimes no

Sometimes…

..horrible conversation topics turn into other passionate moments

..putting off buy birthday presents, can turn into a rush where you find really good ones.

..cleaning the house only gets done when people come over

..when I look into your eyes I swear I can see your soul…

..I let down my guard

..I consume things I shouldn’t and spend the week feeling sick

..it rains when you had planned on mowing the grass

..it isn’t really worth it to reconnect with old friends

..I feel like I don’t know anything

..we skip family plans to remove the bullshit from our lives

..all we need in life is a great song

..sometimes when I look deep into your eyes I swear I can see your soul…

Love list 4.7.09

Wow. This past week was entertaining. On April 1st  I woke up and did a double take to see that it was snowing. On April 5th and 6th we had beautiful days with a high temp of 70°. Oh Seattle… global warming has been abusing you this year.

(um, made a draft and didn’t post? a day late we are)

THINGS I LOVE.

  • the boy with the red facial hair
  • the black dog who seems to be shedding her winter coat
  • bare feet in grass
  • working on my freckles
  • sunglasses that are the right size for my face
  • bartlett pears
  • free make overs
  • Rudy’s Barbershop in Bellevue. (I recommend Stephanie or Windi if you have thick hair. Windi does color, Stephanie doesn’t)
  • MAC brush cleaner
  • Nevzat Espresso. This is one of those little coffee stands that you often wonder about, like how does it taste. This guy is so friendly and makes a killer anything! He doesn’t offer drip coffee but makes a fantastic americano for under $2! Kevin and I love him and his coffee.
  • flirt tops
  • Vans without socks
  • people sitting at tables in their front yard, playing cards
  • gossiping about my brother with my mom
  • beautiful days that put people in amazing moods
  • Bumble and Bumble Straight (yes, I spent $25 on hair stuff, it works like a dream.)
  • a friend who got very hurt in bike accidents but didn’t damage their head (please wear a helmet, no matter how dumb they look)
  • Spring finally showing up
  • skipping family Easter plans
  • washing down a 70°n day with a plate of mexican food and a Pacifico
  • free composters
  • the beautiful music in the Where the Hell is Matt? (2008) video
  • the Where the Hell is Matt video that makes me feel all warm and fuzzy. And I love the Demilitarized Zone, North Korea shot.

THINGS I DON’T LOVE.

  • Kevin inviting 10 people over for dinner and his lack of house cleaning
  • scratchy throats
  • how ugly my back yard looks
  • people who don’t seem to understand how a 4 way stop works.
  • feeling like absolute crap for 2 days aftering eating tater sauce with my fish and chips.
  • soy protein and the effect it has on my body

Seattle loves spring days, in spring!

Today was a wonderful 68°! I sat outside and got some sun on those tatas!

This is quite pleasant considering it was snowing on 4 days ago.

Welcome spring, please stay a while. Seattle needs you.

Saturdays can be fun.

leave a comment »

I was awake at 3:45 this morning. Yes. And that was 30 minutes before my alarm actually went off. And this was all after not getting nearly enough sleep. I’ve been awake for 18 hours! Woohoo.

I worked a fun day. 5 to 1:30. Next week I get to work a bunch of 8  to 5s… as close to 9 to 5 as I can get. Sweet jesus, I might feel normal for a second.

I went to the chiropractor so he could “crack my bones” as Kevin put it. He said something was new and different about my neck… and not in the great way.

I then decided I wanted something pretty to wear. (I lost 2.6lbs this week. ) I hit up a bunch of stores and found nothing. Meaning, I had no agenda so I and nothing jumped out at me. I looked at shoes. I looked at purses. I looked at necklaces and earrings. Well fuck it, we best look at makeup. We got made over to look like a tart, but the eyes were pretty fucking hot.

Then I was on a quest for hair. My hair is bothering me. I then decided I needed some Bumble and Bumble. I went to Rudy’s. I asked the gal about product. She had some awesome and crazy thick hair. I had her cut mine. She did an amazing job!

After getting all glammed out at the MAC counter and getting a hair cut, I felt pretty super. I came home and washed off my face. I thought I’d be pretty awesome and put on the cute shorts I bought in August. They totally ruined that awesome skinny and hot feeling I had. But, after being at the mall I feel very average and not as fat.

Drats. Ooh, I forgot to take all of my supplements. Double drats.

At least I have good hair. I finally found another person that seems to understand how to cut think hair. Thanks Stephanie!

Next is Hoegaarden. Then bed. Man, I need a weekend day off.
